Auto shipping to and from Canada with exit ports to Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Halifax

If you are planning on shipping your auto to Canada, we at Cargoux would be happy to help you. Did you know that Canada is actually the second largest country in the world when it comes to land mass, second only to Russia? If you want to get your automobile to a specific part of the country, check with us so that we can help you choose the optimal route. All of this varies based on where you are shipping your auto from, and where exactly you need it to get to.

If you are starting in the United States of America, you may be able to simply have your auto driven to Canada or shipped there on a truck.  However, the United States is also a very large country - it may take a while for your automobile to reach its destination. It may be easier to get your vehicle transported to a coastal town and have it sent to Canada on a boat. This is RoRo (Roll On Roll Off) shipping, and is the best way to transport an auto to a far away location. It can then be driven or transported to your final destination.

If you live overseas, this type of overseas shipping becomes a requirement. Ferrying a vehicle from Europe involves transporting it across the North Atlantic Ocean, where it will arrive somewhere along the east coast of Canada. There are many shipping ports along Canada's coastal provinces, and you can get your auto sent to Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec, Nova Scotia, or New Brunswick. Prince Edward Island is another option, but it and Newfoundland are islands and thus they may not be the optimal ports for your automobile to arrive at. Unless, of course, that is where you want your auto to get to in the end. Toronto is one of the most popular destinations, so your vehicle will most likely end up arriving at Quebec and being shipped to Toronto by land. Contrary to popular belief, Toronto is not the capital city of Canada. It is actually Ottawa. If you do plan to get your auto shipped to Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal are nice places to visit along the way. If your destination is one of the central provinces such as Alberta or Saskatchewan, your automobile may be shipped across the Labrador Sea and Hudson Bay, where it will disembark in Manitoba or northern Ontario. You have a lot of options available to you, based on the sheer amount of the country that borders a large body of water. Very few provinces are entirely landlocked.

On the other hand, if you are shipping your auto to Canada from Asia, it will be shipped over the North Pacific Ocean. The most used ports on the west coast of Canada are in British Columbia, which is the westernmost province of the country. If you wish to cross the Arctic Ocean you can also have the Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut as your destination. However, those provinces are extremely cold. The arctic ocean is very close to the North Pole. So we can honestly say that we do not recommend taking that option. If you really wish to go see Santa, make sure that your auto is properly winterproofed first. Or better yet, rent a snowmobile.
