Export your car from Toronto to Holland, Netherlands for $900
Exporting your car from Toronto to the Netherlands is not a very difficult task. In fact, it will only cost you $900 to transport your vehicle across the North Atlantic Ocean to get to the port of Rotterdam. This is a very reasonable price, as ocean transport may cost you far more depending on where you wish to export your car. Many things need to be considered when you export a car, and we at Cargoux would be glad to help you with all your car shipping and exporting needs.
So, how would this process work? First off, your car will be driven onto a ship at a port in Toronto. This is a process called RoRo Shipping, or Roll On Roll Off Shipping. It means exactly what it says – the car is rolled or driven onto a boat, then rolled or driven back off when it reaches its destination in the port city of Rotterdam in the Holland region of the Netherlands. The path traveled can be summarized in this fashion – from Toronto, your car will be loaded onto a ship. It will then be ferried across Lake Ontario, across the St Lawrence Seaway, and then into the Atlantic Ocean. The seaway is what connects the great lakes in Ontario to the North Atlantic Ocean. From there, it goes all the way across the ocean – quite a long distance! Once it reaches the North Sea, your export is nearly complete. Your car will shortly be in Holland, just where you want it to be.
The distance between Toronto and Rotterdam is 5975 km – five thousand nine hundred and seventy five kilometers. That is, however, a straight line. The distance you travel when you fly between the two cities by plane. Your car will take a longer route – after all, a ship can’t go straight from Toronto to Holland. There are masses of land in the way! Ireland and the United Kingdom, for instance. Even parts of Canada, including the provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and a part of Quebec. Travel by sea has to compensate for those things, and go around them. So your car will actually end up traveling a farther distance than you will if you fly to Holland, if you want to think about it that way.
The Netherlands border two countries – Belgium to the south and Germany to the east. When exporting your car from Toronto to Holland, you should keep those countries in mind – they are not a very long drive away, and if you are there for pleasure (or have some time off during your very important business trip and want to sneak off and sight-see, we won’t tell anyone) then you may drive from Rotterdam to either of those countries. And, of course, the rest of Europe. Once you are in Europe, you should be able to get to any other European country you want. Free travel across the European union is a wonderful blessing for those who want to see and do all you possibly can during your trip. Wherever your travels may take you, we wish you the best of luck. Have a pleasant trip!
