The Ukraine is a country in eastern Europe, with a population of forty two and a half million. It has a lot of seaports along the coast of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, giving you a lot of options when it comes to exporting your car. How much would it cost me to export my car from Toronto to Ukraine, you may ask? Well, we at Cargoux would be glad to help you answer that! We have a handy rate calculator on our website, that can help you figure out the cost of transport. According to our calculator, it would cost you $1300 to transport your vehicle from Toronto to the city of Odessa in Ukraine all the way across the ocean.
So, how would your car be exported from Toronto to the Ukraine? It is a little known fact that, despite looking like it’s mostly landlocked, Toronto actually connects to the North Atlantic Ocean via Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence Seaway. The St Lawrence River is over three thousand kilometers long and drains water from the great lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. Your car will then be transported across the ocean, through the Gibraltar Strait, and then past a few seas and bodies of water until it gets to the Black Sea. As mentioned previously, the Black Sea does border the Ukraine, and has multiple shipping ports available for use. We used the port city of Odessa in our calculations, but if you require a different option for whatever reason, we could help you come up with alternative arrangements. There are actually 18 merchant seaports in Ukraine along the Black Sea and the Azov Sea, as well as 12 port points.
“What if I don’t want to export my car directly to Ukraine”, you may ask? “What if I want to take the scenic route?” Well, you can! Ukraine borders several other countries including Russia, Belarus, Poland, Moldova, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania. If you would like to, for example, export your car from Toronto to Poland, it would only cost you $950 to get your vehicle shipped to Gdynia or Gdansk. You can then explore the country, taking in the sights and sounds, and cross the border to the south east to reach Ukraine. The journey your car would take would mostly be the same to start with – going from Toronto across the St Lawrence Seaway into the Atlantic Ocean, and then reaching Europe. However, instead of going through the Gibraltar Strait, you would go north instead to the North Sea, cross over to the Baltic Sea, and then have your car unloaded at a port in Poland. It may cost you less for the shipment itself, but then you would have to either export your car to Ukraine by truck or by driving it there, which may incur additional costs for either transportation or fuel. However, it can be done!
Whatever your reasoning for exporting your car to Ukraine may be and whichever path you decide to take, we at Cargoux are always available to answer any questions you may have and help with all your transportation needs. Enjoy your stay in the Ukraine, and we hope you have a great time.
