Shipping your car to Constanta to explore the beautiful country of Romania: we love to travel
Planning on shipping your car to Romania? We would be happy to help!
Of the many countries in Europe that you may be thinking of shipping your car to, Romania is certainly one of them. There are many reasons for one to ship their vehicle to Romania, ranging from business to pleasure. Perhaps you’re moving there and want to take your car with you, or you want to go on vacation there. Maybe you have a meeting and wish to arrive in style in your fancy company car. You might be visiting friends, or visiting family. Whatever reason you may have, we here at Cargoux would be happy to help get your vehicle from where it currently is to wherever you need it to go.
The first thing to consider is your starting point. Depending on where you are shipping your car to Romania from, different options may be more or less applicable. If your starting point is a nearby European country such as Hungary or Ukraine, land delivery would be your easiest option. The car can be driven to its destination, either on its own or on the back of a truck. While Romania is mostly landlocked and does not have direct access to any oceans or other large bodies of water, there is one exception – the black sea. The black sea borders a handful of countries including Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Georgia, and Russia. While this would be a more complicated method than usual, a car shipped across the North Atlantic Ocean can go through the Strait of Gibraltar between Spain and Morocco, past some other bodies of water including the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Aegean Sea, and eventually make its way to the Black Sea after going through Istanbul. We never said that this would be simple! You want to be sure that you are shipping with someone who knows how to handle crossing borders and dealing with customs, so that you don’t have to worry about any potential delays.
Your destination also matters – if you wish to ship your car to Timisoara or anywhere further west, it might take longer for your car to reach its destination. The Black Sea is on the East side of Romania, after all. On the other hand, cities on the east coast of Romania such as Constanta and Mangalia border the Black Sea and thus are easier to get your car shipped to. Your starting location and final destination will affect both the price that it will cost you to get your vehicle where you want it to go, and the amount of time that it will take to get there. So you should always be sure to plan your journey out well in advance – you wouldn’t want to get there and have to wait an extra day or two for your car. It could ruin your entire visit!
In summary, if you are interested in shipping your car to Romania, you should definitely make sure to plan your journey out well in advance and talk to someone who knows what they are doing, such as us here at Cargoux. When you finally get to Romania, be sure to check out all the historical sites and tourist destinations. We highly recommend you visit Transylvania, commonly associated with vampires due to Bram Stoker’s Dracula novel and the many movie adaptations thereof. We’re fairly certain that you will be safe and won’t come across any real vampires, but you may wish to cover up your neck just in case.
